About Population Center

Population Center was established in 2018 and was later registered with SECP in March 2024 under section 42 of the Companies Act 2017. The primary objective of Population Center is to carry out research and communications activities to create and utilize evidence of the implications of the rapid population growth on all facets of people’s lives and the country’s development prospects.

Our objective is to provide technical inputs in developing communication products that aim at bringing a behavioral change in the minds of people in line with the CCI-approved national narrative on population, which calls for creating a balance between resources and population size.

We work on social sector development, on initiatives for improving maternal and child health, family planning, nutrition, sanitation, and safe drinking water. We especially focus on accessibility of these services for poor and marginalized populations who are disproportionately affected by the negative impact of high population growth on these sectors. The adverse impacts are exacerbated under calamitic conditions such as the current COVID-19 pandemic.
